Gone Fishing
I’ve finished life’s chores assigned to me,
So I'll take the Red Rooster out to sea.
And I will take my fishing pole
For I’ve been invited to the fishin’ hole - Where every day is a day to fish and fill your heart with every wish.
Don’t worry, or feel sad for me,
I’m fishin’ where I love to be.
We'll miss each other for a while,
until you come and bring your smile.
It won’t be long now, you will see,
When we’re together you and me.
To all of those that think of me,
Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I’m missin’
Just tell ’em all that Jinks' gone fishin’

Extract from a poem by Henry Scott Holland
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other, that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant; it is the same as it ever was.
